The new Dr Feickert Blackbird is now in town and ready to dem. Similar in design the much talked about woodpecker the blackbird has twin motors and the facility for two tonearms, . Once positioned and setup correctly ( a joy to set up with the included Dr Feicker NG Alignment Protractor. ) the unit will run without constant tinkering with, you just get to listen to your music for a change.

Dr Feickert’s new woodpecker turntable is now available in the UK. The Woodpecker turntable evolved from customer requests for a simple turntable solution. Most peoples' idea of a turntable is a wooden box, platter and tonearm - that's it. However they do not want to give up the excellent sound quality of the larger, more exotic turntable designs.
The challenge was not so simple to accomplish. From scratch it was obvious that the MARC (Mechanical Anti Resonant Circuit) design will not adapt to a "conventional" chassis easily. So we were looking for new ways to design as close to the bigger models as possible and get similar results. After a lot of refinement we are proud to present the final product.
The result is comparable to what you already know from our bigger models, timeless elegance paired with best measurements. Using our well-proven bearing design, platter and high torque motor, we achieved the same virtues of Twin and Triple. The motor electronics were adapted to match the design perfectly.
The sound will leave you amazed. No matter which tonearm you are planning to use, the calibrated sliding-base allows you to mount nearly all available tonearms from 9 up to 12 inches without any extra pieces or complicated adjustments.
