Cain & Cain Speakers By
Lovecraft Design
Angelsound Audio On-line Store![]()
Terry Cain first built hi-fi systems as a 12-year-old, using income from his paper route. He apprenticed at SpeakerLab in Seattle making speaker parts and doing prosound PA gigs.
Terry took a 20-year break from the Audio industry to hone his skills as a wookworker and cabinet maker, as the Cain & Cain Co. However, in 2000-2001, Terry found himself returning to his dream and building audio equipment exclusively. Within these few short years, Terry added significant momentum to the tube and high-efficiency community.
Sadly, life does not last forever. Terry passed away December 10, 2006, at the age of 47. Before his death, Terry hand-picked Jason Flanary, a long-time friend and apprentice to
keep the dream alive. Lovecraft Designs is the continuation of Terry Cain’s passion---crafting the highest quality audio equipment using the finest materials available. We will soldier on, but Terry, you will be missed.
All Cain & Cain products are hand made to order at the factory. As with all fine instruments, this takes time, but the result of patience is great reward and musical enjoyment! Expect anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks for your order to be completed. We will notify you when your product ships out.

The Cain & Cain "Super Abby”
6” driver; 94db 1w 1mtr <40khz
8ohm
14 x 14 x 70” 65lbs
Solid Brass spikes
If I had to choose a speaker that was closest to my heart it would be the Cain&Cain “Abby” Made by a master craftsman using only the best materials, Packed and shipped in Museum quality crates, and with the correct amp a sound that is almost untouchable and all starting at a price of £1825.00 an absolute bargain.
Since the Abby speaker’s introduction, the momentum for low powered refinement has grown. The openness and transparency, combined with excellent tonal balance, the high efficiency and dynamics have made the Abby “annoyingly good sounding” as one dealer remarked. this annoyingly good speaker has been driven in systems with analogue front ends costing twenty times as much as the Abby.
The Abby is designed to be an introduction to high efficiency speaker systems of simple yet refined design, paying tribute to “classic” forms and re-interpreting them with current thinking. `the result is that the Abby has found a place in audiophile’s hearts and homes worldwide

The Noogi
As shrinks the sound point source, so enlarges the sonic panorama. Vocals hang in space completely detached from the baffle. These small drivers have the greatest cone to magnet ratio far exceeding that of larger drivers. This accounts for the lifelike timber to percussion and their ease with vocals making larger systems work for their clarity.
The drivers center dome is attached directly to the voice coil and accounts for stunning >30khz performance. The surround of the driver is the same “flip-flop” surround as seen on the top line Fostex monitors. It simply all added up to something that we had to put to good use. Reviewers and audiophiles wanted some, so here they are. Handmade of solid wood and veneers, a bit of CNC machining thrown in for accuracy and economy. A 1/3rd scale Abby that works hard to right the scale sonically.
The Noogi is affordable, attractive in appearance and sounds great! Intended for the desktop, and built for a bench top. Use them in the kitchen or office. Already they are finding their way into civilized home theater settings. Add the Bailey subwoofer and you are ready to go!
